Happy New Year!

Happy 2014! I hope you all had a lovely Christmas. We had a great time celebrating with our family and had a nice break from working. Storeyshop is now back open though! Lots of plans for this year. I'm half excited and half scared about managing Valentine's Day orders with Ted around for the first time. Wish me luck (well, long naps)!

Now that we are in to the new year, I can add the photographs of the wedding stationery I made for a happy couple who tied the knot on New Years Eve. Huge congratulations to Tor & Glyn and all the very best for your future together! Lovely working with you on these...

Back Open For Business

So, I'm back a-cutting when Ted is a-napping! It's lovely. Makes such a nice change from playing and running around with him to just sit and scalpel. I don't get very long but it is amazing how productive you can be when a baby sleeps! Storeyshop is back open (my Etsy shop anyway, Folksy shop will hopefully follow soon) and is stocked up with lasercut cards and posters. Personalised orders are by request for the time being just so that I can keep track easier and make sure I don't say 'yes' to lots of exciting orders and then struggle to keep up with them.

I have also braved walking to my local Post Office to deliver some of my recent orders. It is quite a trek but a nice one when Ted and I have time and when the weather's nice. Although, yes, I walked all the way there a few weeks ago without the cards I needed to post. A good fifty minute walk where I was feeling all cheery and on top of things until I got to the counter and realised. I really hope this 'baby brain' goes away again sometime soon!

Anyway, here's pics of my new walk to post orders, the Office Junior coming along for the ride and some recently scalpelled baby papercuts...

Easter Giveaway!

Happy Easter all! I hope you are all having a nice long weekend. Thank you for all your messages over the last few months. I am replying to them all as and when I get a chance but, if I haven't already, I will do very soon. Storeyshop will be open again in May. I've been back at my cutting mat today to hand cut a Christening card for one of Ted's little friends and it's made me quite excited for when I get scalpelling again. Ted is growing fast (check out his cute little bunny teeth) and starting to get around the floor (ahhh, must make this flat baby-friendly sharpish) and we are loving every minute!

EASTER GIVEAWAY TIME ... Head over to the Storeyshop Facebook page to enter my Easter giveaway now! The prize is a hand cut or laser cut poster or card of your choice and all you have to do to enter is LIKE and SHARE my latest update on the Facebook page. You can also comment on this blog post for a sneaky extra entry. Good luck! The winner will be announced next week.

Proudest Project Ever!

He's here! Baby Storeyshop arrived on the 18th September and is amazing in every way. Edward Samuel Foers was born at 5.59am and weighed in at a massive 10lb 4oz. Labour was not so fun (over 3 days) and I didn't manage to complete the homebirth that we would have liked but who cares? Ted arrived safe and sound and was worth every second. We already can't imagine our life without him. What did I used to do with all my time?! He is now over 8 weeks old and weighing 14lb 12oz. Toning my arms, that's for sure!

Here's some photos of our little super star...

Bump Update

About time I posted an update I reckon. Bump is now getting huge! It always seems to be wonky these days too as Junior tries to get comfy in there. Here are some more bump photos from 29 weeks up to last week. Seeing them all together makes me realise how much it has grown over the last couple of months...

So, less than 3 weeks to do until my due date now. Could be any day! A friend who was due the week before me had her baby two weeks early so that made us realise we really did need to get sorted and pack a hospital bag etc! Bags are now by the door and the car seat base is fitted. The big day will probably be two weeks late now but at least we're as ready as we'll ever be. So excited!

For anyone who has popped over to my blog to find out about Storeyshop, as you will have gathered, I'm about to have my first baby so have closed my shops and put my scalpels away for a few months. I'll be back at the cutting mat early 2013 and look forward to hopefully working with you then! To see my work, here are a few links you can follow: Etsy card sales, Etsy 'About Me' page, Facebook, Twitter. You can also use the search box on the right hand side of this blog to search for wedding stationery or whatever else you are looking for. Thanks!

I Want Wednesday!

Yay, halfway through the week again! And time for my 'I Want Wednesday' post. Check out these amazing wool beauties knitted in Scotland from British lambswool. The shop is Nervous Stitch and the designer is Jenny who studied Knitted Textiles at The Royal College of Art. As a brand new knitter myself (and even that term's optimistic) I can't even imagine where you would start with these intricate lovelies! I love the colours and designs, definitely on my 'to buy' list.
