Car Booty!

Half my weekend was very boring and involved my tax return and accounts sorting (eurgh) and half was brilliant and involved dinner at our favourite restaurant and an entire day off (yay)! Still haven't quite finished the boring Excel spreadsheets and tax form but have made a good start. Saturday night dinner was to celebrate mine and Dave's meeting (a very random, Sliding Doors-like, evening in Sussex 5 years ago) and took place in The Crown in Catton. The food was amazing as ever and we sat by a lovely open fire. Perfect.

On Sunday, we went to the 'Food and Craft Fair' at Wallington National Trust House and tasted (and bought) lots of nice locally-produced Northumberland food goodies. Always a nice change to wander round a craft fair as a buyer too, and not have to sit behind a stall getting cold and a numb bum! I then dragged my lovely fiance round a car boot sale. He hates them but we did find some fab vintage mugs.

Today has been a busy one with lots of card orders made and posted. I have also just listed this new card which I made on Friday...

My New Favourite Storeyshop Monkey

It's Friday! Not quite sure how that came around so fast again but I am looking forward to the weekend. I think we are going to go and investigate the Ouseburn Valley area of Newcastle where the Art Works Galleries are. They contacted me recently about stocking my cards so I'd like to see what it's like and I have heard it is well worth a visit. Other than that, I think it will be a weekend of sorting out the garden if it's nice weather and eBaying. I have had another wardrobe sort out so can hopefully make a few pennies (and some space for new finds!)

This is my new favourite monkey of all time that I mentioned in my last post. Check him out! So far I haven't been able to get any more of these socks either so it's looking like he's going to be very limited edition...

Cora Paige Monkey

UPDATE: The Cora Monkey has now sold but you can click the pink link on the right to find lots more handmade Etsy items, being sold in aid of the Cora Paige Project. So far, over $9000 has been raised. There is also an Etsy shop set up by Cora's family; called Coras selling lovely clothes for little ones. They had completely sold out when I looked but do keep an eye out for more stock soon!

Left On The Shelf

Another grey day. This is getting depressing! I'm still holding out for some sun later so I can go for a sunday walk. Ever since I've been been in the countryside with my new camera it's been 'orrible weather!

Oh well. Here are some monkeys!



These are my new ones I have made this week. The pink theme wasn't even planned for Valentines Day coming up but they do make the Etsy shop look very romantic!



And these are the new monkeys mingling with the old ones who have all literally been left on the shelf after Christmas sales. They do actually sit along one of the shelves of the bookcase in the office! They don't want to be seen as charity cases but they just want a little exposure :)

Well I have to get packed later for another week in London. I'm heading down early tomorrow morning for another week in Cardboard HQ for some more corrigated card crafting. I'm looking forward to seeing how the animations are coming along and, apparently, all the cardboard creations we have made so far are all set up in scenes ready for shooting so that will be fun to see!
