Off to tackle my giant 'to do' list now which includes finishing and posting some more card orders, looking through future mother in law's jewellery for possible wedding accessories, nail varnish shopping (and some other bits) and making Order of Service sheets and a table plan. All in a days' work, eh? Have a good day, all!

New Storeyshop Custom Card Orders!
Sorry, blog posts are a bit lacking at the moment due to all things wedding. I'll more than make up for it after the big day though when they'll be news and photos a-plenty! I'm also busy finishing lots of Storeyshop orders as I am freelancing on a magazine for a few days next week and before I know it, I'm going to be standing at the end of an aisle. Uploaded some photos of recent card orders last night while watching the Masterchef final on iPlayer and here are some new ones...

New Storeyshop Personalised Cards
Been nice and busy with card orders over the last few days. Lots of lovely return customers which is always good and some nice messages and sales from Company readers too after seeing the feature. Thank you! I'm also up to 400 Twitter followers.. woo! After posting a few months ago about not really 'getting' Twitter I have definitely been converted. I love it now and tweet a lot. I love how quick it all moves and how you find you have things in common with people just from random tweets about favourite crisps and what you do day to day.

Pop over and follow Storeyshop on Twitter! I look forward to (sort of) meeting you and following back!

I Want Wednesday!
Woo hoo. Wednesday again. Halfway through the week, The Apprentice is on again tonight AND it's another 'I Want' for the week! This Wednesday, I want these little wooden, hand-painted dolls from mooshoopork. I love them. They're bright, fun, simple and stylish. I think they'd look fab on my bookshelves at home.

The best thing is that you can order custom dolls! What a great present for a family -a little family of tiny wooden versions of them. I highly recommend a browse of mooshoopork's shop, for presents or for you. They are so well painted and are varnished with non-toxic materials. There is even a man doll in the shop with a little goatee beard. Oh, if only I knew someone with a goatee!
Well, today has been very productive. I have made and posted 3 personalised card orders and finished off some designs for a competition which needed posting today too. I have entered a couple of drawings for the competition which is run by The Royal Mint to come up with new designs for 50p pieces to celebrate the London Olympics. I didn't have much time as I only found out about the competition a couple of days ago but thought I may as well post off what I had come up with. You never know!

Happy Birthday Dave's Parents!
It is Dave's parents' birthday today. They have their birthday on the same day which I always think is very romantic. Happy Birthday to them! We gave them tickets for Jools Holland when he tours in Newcastle in December.

I have to admit this was their birthday card from last year. We bought them one this year. It's quite a novelty buying one these days! It's a lovely sunny day again today and I have just finished off a new style rainbow monkey and listed him in Storeyshop.

This afternoon is going to be spent making more templates for the laser cutting man. I am going to get some 'I love you more than...' cards laser cut as an alternative to my hand-cut ones (which will still be very much available). The laser cut cards can then be stocked in shops more easily and hopefully featured in another magazine or two. I must tidy the office too, there is cardboard everywhere!

More Custom Cards
I am having a quick break from sewing monkeys and uploading some new photos of this week's personalised card orders. Here are some of my favourites. I like the random images some customers ask for like 'pointy shoes' (see Alex's card). I have also just finished a card with a BMX bike on it. I packed that card order up and forgot to take a photo of it but I've decided I like bikes even though they are tricky to cut. They might be appearing on more cards soon! I like knife and fork images too. Probably due to my love of food :)

Storeyshop Hen Party Cards
Here are some photos of a custom card order that I have just finished for personalised hen party cards. I love doing card orders like this and I hope they go down really well with the girls in Idaho, United States. Congratulations again to the bride-to-be!

Storeyshop Slippers!
I've been meaning to add these beauties to my blog for a while but kept forgetting. These are the Storeyshop personalised slippers Dave's lucky parents got for Christmas from us. His folks are quite hard to buy for so making them something always seems to go down well. I am thinking of adding these to my shop too. The only problem would be availablity of slippers. I think I'd have to find out what slippers sizes customers wanted and their top 3 choices of colours and then hit M&S and BHS to see if I could get the right thing. If anyone is interested do let me know! They are great wedding presents for newly weds, especially for the lady who gets her new initials sewn on them!

I Heart Scalpelling!
My first lovey card order of 2009. I spend a lot of time making love-related cards for other men especially as Valentines Day approaches. So here is (hopefully) the first of many!

I am in a card mood today so I think more Valentines Day cards might be my job for this afternoon after taking my latest orders to the post office. I think I might save tackling designing my new website for when Dave is home later. He seems to understand the technical side of things better than me so far. I have so many ideas for how I want the site to look and what is going to be on there one day, that I get frustrated when I can't even get a trial page to work!

Happy New Year
Happy New Year! After a lovely Christmas and New Year in Northumberland and Sussex I'm just getting back into the swing of Storeyshop orders. The shop was open all over the festive period but I had a break from promoting and adding new items and things were nice and quiet. The card orders have been steadily rolling in since though which is fab and I'm enjoying making them even more after a nice relaxing break.
So, here's to 2009! I'm not a January person and don't usually like getting back into real life after Christmas but this year is hopefully going to be a good one and my resolution for the year is to be more motivated in the evenings and not watch rubbish tv! I have my new iPod dock and have managed to revive my ancient iPod which never kept it's charge so was retired to a drawer. So, from now on, it will be music when there's nothing on tv and Storeyshop making all the way. I have loads of ideas for new products and lots of Valentines cards ready to design and cut so look out for them over the next month.
Here are some of the first hand-cut card orders of the year..

Tomorrow will be making some Valentines card orders and making a start on the new Storeyshop website (my other New Years resolution!) I also need to eBay some of the clothes I don't wear to make way for some Christmas presents and a few lovely sale purchases!

I Love You More Than..
The magazine is finished for another issue. Woo hoo! After three weeks of that and an entire weekend of bathroom decorating (it's nearly done even if it does look slightly more lilac than Steel Grey), I am back to full-time Storeyshop for a week before a week back on Company magazine in London where I used to be senior designer. I am looking forward to going back, seeing the girls and my other friends in and around London. Oh, and maybe a spot of shopping.
For now, though, I am making a custom monkey for a customer and more cards in the 'I Love You More Than...' series. Here are the current favourites. They are all available to order in the shop!

Right, I better get monkey sewing!
