I Want Wednesday

I'm not sure how it got to Wednesday again already but I have another 'Want' up my sleeve. Anyone who knows me, or who has been reading my blog for a while, will know I have a bit of a thing for storage. I think it may be to do with the amount of stuff I have. I love drawers and boxes and pots and bags. And I love, love, love these little graph and lined paper pencil cases from madebyanna. The amazing school patterns are sewn! I really want one. Actually, I really want them both.

I found Anna's lovely shop by looking through the 'favourites' of someone who had 'hearted' Storeyshop on Etsy. I like to see what other items people who like my things, like. It's a great way of finding treasures. There are also some brilliant, original illustrations and a giant screen print in Anna's shop too.

A Storeyshop Little Bag Sale!

Because it's Friday and because everyone loves a sale! Head on over to Storeyshop where my last few little bags have been reduced. They are great as beauty bags and would make nice gifts too. I am planning to concentrate on cards and monkeys for now so selling off my last few little bags. I might open a separate shop for this kind of thing in the future but they may be unavailable for a while once they are sold...

Happy Friday and I hope you all have a fab weekend!

Finished Bags!

The finished Nanny Print Little Bags. A true Storeyshop joint effort with Beca designing and hand-printing the fabric from her amazing hand-cut lino stamp and me making bags from it! They will be available online very soon..

Right I'm off to get an indian takeaway to celebrate the new Storeyshop bag range and just that it's friday.

Sunny Thursday

Yay! It's a lovely today and I got up early. I've had a very productive day already. As it's sunny I thought I'd take the opportunity to take lots more photos. Here's my latest card order which I have just finished..

My other new products soon to be for sale in Storeyshop are simple graphic canvasses. Here is the first one. I made one like it for Dave for Christmas to put in our bathroom (we have a bit of a secret Sudoku habit!). The range will include other puzzles and quotes too.

Ready to sew!

I'm back up north and ready to get sending and making!
I was freelancing in Cardboard land all last week back down in London. It was very fun but really tiring and I did get lots of UHU glue headaches and papercuts! Just to recap, Beca and I were working with Maggie who we went to university with. We were (and Beca still is) making town scenes and room interiors entirely out of mostly brown, corrugated cardboard. As you do! It's looking good and when it's finished I'll add some pics on here. We didn't have any internet access in our little office though so I felt a bit stranded from the world and was missing updating my blog and checking Etsy.

I'm very pleased to be back in Haltwhistle, even if the weather is horrible and rainy. I have sold 2 monkeys over the weekend so I'm getting them all packed up today and ready for their journeys and I have a birthday card to make which needs to be in the post by this afternoon too. Other than those things, I am going to get sock monkey and bag making today. I'm planning to do some new personalised card listings on Etsy too.

The bathroom up here is useable now which is quite a treat! It's still missing floorboards so you have to be careful not to fall down the holes and probably through the kitchen ceiling but mustn't grumble!

This is one of my favourite monkeys which has just sold and is off to live in Manchester..

Ta ra!

PS: Note my new links to Morganstreet, Rawsoil and 2minutesplease blogs on the right --->
They have all added lovely mentions of Storeyshop products!

Plumbing is complicated

Plumbing this weekend. We haven't got that far. It's never straightforward! Thought I'd add a 'before' photo on here for extra incentive for us to get it all done and looking lovely.

On a cheerier note, checked Etsy this morning and have had two little bag sales overnight to Australia. Very excited! Good incentive to get making new things next week before I'm back freelancing in London the week after.

Pretty bags

Hello, I'm sewing bags today. Had to get up early to let the Bathstore man in with our new bathroom suite so I resisted the temptation to try and learn plumbing and started sewing bright and early. I have finished 3 that I started yesterday..
