Be My Valentine

A quick update: I am still cutting away and just about keeping up with orders! The last orders for Valentine's Day will be posted first class on Thursday. I am now no longer accepting new hand cut card orders but feel free to order laser cut cards until tomorrow evening for delivery in time for February 14th. Orders which have been placed will be posted out on or before Thursday unless you have heard otherwise from me. I hope you and the recipients all love your cards!

Valentine's Rush II

It isn't quite as crazy as this time last year but I am still slightly drowning in card orders! I'm not complaining because I'm loving all the sales and all the fab feedback from customers but I am really looking forward to taking a couple of days off when the day of love is upon us (I've worked every weekend so far this year!). Anyway, that explains my lack of blog posts recently and my slightly boring one this time. I will be back soon with more exciting news...oh, and some photos of my wedding invitations and how I made them!

Storeyshop Weekend

Another solid weekend of card cutting! I have just taken the latest batch of 24 down to the post office. I must be helping to keep the local post office in business.




I am just having a quick tea, chocolate Buttons and blog break so I will add a couple of my recent card offerings before getting back to my scalpelling. Sorry to those people I have had to turn down for Valentine's orders but I don't want to promise to get cards to you in time when it may not be possible. I am hoping to get all the Valentine's orders posted by Wednesday afternoon to allow an extra day or two of postage time. A few first class cards have been turning up a day or two late lately, maybe because of the snow. I hope they all arrive in time for the day of love and go down very well with their intended!

Card Rush II

The card rush is most definitely back on! The 'Look' readers and other buyers are placing lots of orders for cards and monkeys. I have over 60 current personalised Valentine's card orders on the 'to do' list so I had better get back to it!

Just to say there are a limited number of Xbox cards available to order again now for those people who have asked..

Please allow up to a week for them to be made and around 7 working days for international shipping on top of that. Postage within the UK will be first class and will arrive the day after your card is finished.

Storeyshop Valentines Cards

72 hand-cut Valentines cards made and posted (since last Wednesday) and 54 to go. I am officially more than halfway through the card marathon! There is a waiting list for Xbox cards and I will contact anyone who has asked for one to let them know if and when I can get more made in time for Valentines Day (I'm hoping I can!). I'll also post on here, my Etsy shop and my Facebook group if more become available (everyone is very welcome to join my FB group).

The Power of Blogs!

65 card orders from the fellas now and counting! It just shows how fast words gets around on those fantastic blogs (see my last post). I better get back to cutting cards...

Even More Manic Tuesday!

My 'I love you more than...' Valentines cards have been featured on some great blokey blogs today such as Gizmodo, technabob and Offworld. I have had over 50 orders since about 4pm this afternoon. This is the way forward... target men. I have found my calling!

I like the way Offworld title the post:
"I love you more than Xbox -says card someone else made for you while you played Xbox"!

Blogs

It's always really nice to find out how people find out about Storeyshop and go on to order cards and buy monkeys. I don't ask people but a few buyers have mentioned blogs lately where they have seen Storeyshop. A great one is Rare Bird Finds. Have a look and you'll find lots of cool and different things to buy. Storeyshop personalised Valentines cards are featured. Woo hoo!

Storeyshop gets another mention on Acechick's blog which is another cute one to have a look at. Also, The Sweet Jelly Bean is fab.

I have had lots of Valentines orders and I am running out of red card now so I better plan a trip to the shopping centre. Oh what a shame, I'll have to go shopping! There's still time for lots more personalised cards for the big day of love so order away and tell your friends :)

51 sales!

Good news.. I set a target for the end of January for Storeyshop to hit 50 sales and we've already done it! At the end of last year I thought 50 sales would be a bit optimistic but it seems not. Yay!

Good timing too as I have just been shopping. Hehe. I went into Newcastle today to go and see a man about some possible magazine freelance design up here which went really well (I hope) so then, seeing as I was near the shops and all....

Tomorrow is card-making central. I have so many to do, the orders are rolling in! I sold 2 monkeys today too which means out of our entire office full, they are now only 7 left. They all fit on one tidy shelf. I'll have to make more!

Well we made it out for a walk yesterday in the end. Here are some photos even though they're a bit rubbish. Check out the sheep running away from me!

Card-making Monday!

I've just made my 3rd card of the day so I'm giving my fingers a break and taking some photos of them. The sun has just come out so I took a few quick photos of one of the cards with the light shining through..

I decided to get in early for Valentines Day by adding some card designs to Etsy and my listing made the Etsy homepage in a treasury! I didn't actually see it when it was on the front page which would have been fab, but nevermind. The card listing had 375 hits within a few hours and I have had quite a few custom order enquiries already!
