Sorry, the Storeyshop blog has been a little neglected lately due to the card rush but I thought I'd write a quick update. I have made 128 new cards in 2 weeks (!) and posted off lots of other sales that were made and ready to send. I'm still cutting new cards too.. I have about 30 new orders to cut by early next week and they are still coming in.
I took yesterday evening off (the first for a while!) to go and see Keane play in Newcastle. It was so good. I highly recommend seeing them play live. The lead singer has an amazing voice and there was a fantastic atmosphere. I was a geek taking photos!

Storeyshop Valentines Cards
72 hand-cut Valentines cards made and posted (since last Wednesday) and 54 to go. I am officially more than halfway through the card marathon! There is a waiting list for Xbox cards and I will contact anyone who has asked for one to let them know if and when I can get more made in time for Valentines Day (I'm hoping I can!). I'll also post on here, my Etsy shop and my Facebook group if more become available (everyone is very welcome to join my FB group).
Will write more soon. I better get back to the card cutting..

Even More Manic Tuesday!
My 'I love you more than...' Valentines cards have been featured on some great blokey blogs today such as Gizmodo, technabob and Offworld. I have had over 50 orders since about 4pm this afternoon. This is the way forward... target men. I have found my calling!
I like the way Offworld title the post:
"I love you more than Xbox -says card someone else made for you while you played Xbox"!

Manic Monday
Today I made and posted 9 hand-cut cards! I'm not sure if that's a record but it's the most for a while. With those and packing up the first of my New Year eBay sales, it has been a busy day. I actually ran to the post office to make it in time for the first class post to go tonight. There's dedication for you!

I Love Rose Water
Rose Water is my new best friend! I'm turning Storeyshop's blog into a beauty one just for a few minutes to recommend rose water to add into your skincare routine. Dave's mum bought me some for my birthday last year as she knows about my stupidly dry skin and it has worked wonders, especially now the weather has got so cold. I now use rose water on my face after washing it and before my moisturiser and my skin is much softer and happier. You can also mix it with glycerol to make a thicker solution to rub into dry skin all over. It's great for people like me with sensitive skin who are allergic to lots of skin care products.
The big ol' bottle of rose water is really cheap but not the most attractive! I have put some into a mini spray bottle which works a treat. You can also get fancier bottles like this Rosée Splendide by Annick Goutal which is really nice too.
Back to Storeyshop and I have lots of card orders coming in. I made lots yesterday and I may have to do some more today to get them in the post on Monday. Get me, working both days of the weekend! Well, might as well seeing as it's so cold outside. I have just been reading some very inspirational blogs too and it has made me excited about getting more Storeyshop products made, starting the website, rebranding and looking into getting some Storeyshop cards and other bits into local shops.
If you fancy, you can now 'follow' my blog (click over there on the right somewhere) and keep up to date with Storeyshop happenings. I am going to make my blog a bit more exciting in 2009 with shopping tips and also giveaways for Storeyshop goodies!
Happy Sunday ♥

Blogs
It's always really nice to find out how people find out about Storeyshop and go on to order cards and buy monkeys. I don't ask people but a few buyers have mentioned blogs lately where they have seen Storeyshop. A great one is Rare Bird Finds. Have a look and you'll find lots of cool and different things to buy. Storeyshop personalised Valentines cards are featured. Woo hoo!
Storeyshop gets another mention on Acechick's blog which is another cute one to have a look at. Also, The Sweet Jelly Bean is fab.
I have had lots of Valentines orders and I am running out of red card now so I better plan a trip to the shopping centre. Oh what a shame, I'll have to go shopping! There's still time for lots more personalised cards for the big day of love so order away and tell your friends :)

I Heart Scalpelling!
My first lovey card order of 2009. I spend a lot of time making love-related cards for other men especially as Valentines Day approaches. So here is (hopefully) the first of many!
I am in a card mood today so I think more Valentines Day cards might be my job for this afternoon after taking my latest orders to the post office. I think I might save tackling designing my new website for when Dave is home later. He seems to understand the technical side of things better than me so far. I have so many ideas for how I want the site to look and what is going to be on there one day, that I get frustrated when I can't even get a trial page to work!

Happy New Year
Happy New Year! After a lovely Christmas and New Year in Northumberland and Sussex I'm just getting back into the swing of Storeyshop orders. The shop was open all over the festive period but I had a break from promoting and adding new items and things were nice and quiet. The card orders have been steadily rolling in since though which is fab and I'm enjoying making them even more after a nice relaxing break.
So, here's to 2009! I'm not a January person and don't usually like getting back into real life after Christmas but this year is hopefully going to be a good one and my resolution for the year is to be more motivated in the evenings and not watch rubbish tv! I have my new iPod dock and have managed to revive my ancient iPod which never kept it's charge so was retired to a drawer. So, from now on, it will be music when there's nothing on tv and Storeyshop making all the way. I have loads of ideas for new products and lots of Valentines cards ready to design and cut so look out for them over the next month.
Here are some of the first hand-cut card orders of the year..
Tomorrow will be making some Valentines card orders and making a start on the new Storeyshop website (my other New Years resolution!) I also need to eBay some of the clothes I don't wear to make way for some Christmas presents and a few lovely sale purchases!
