You're It!

I have just been tagged by the lovely edwina.simone and have been set the task of publishing a particular photo and telling the story behind it. It's fun seeing other peoples' random pictures and the stories behind them and a great way to discover new blogs. Here goes...

THE RULES
1. open your first photo folder
2. scroll to the tenth photo
3. post the photo and the story behind it
4. tag five or more people

So here's my family in the Derbyshire Dales on the big rocks near the stepping stones across the River Dove at Dovedale. With me living miles away up north these days, we all decided to meet in between Northumberland and Sussex and had a little holiday in a cottage in Derbyshire (and also because the cottage is near Thomas Land for the Thomas The Tank fan in the family!).

So, from front to back in the pic is my Ma; my Pa; my nephew, Harvey (in his cool stripey boots that I want a big version of); my brother, Phil; my niece, Niamh and last (but never least) my future husband, Dave! Niamh had one wet foot after a stepping-stones-related welly boot full of water and I was behind the camera with my sister and other niece, Freya. We had been to buy bridesmaids dresses -for the girls to wear to our wedding- earlier in the day too!

I am tagging and looking forward to seeing the pics from:

Bec from Feet in the River
Yvette from Paperfaerie
Lissa from Peak Princess
Claire from gingerpixel
Deepa from Lazy Giraffe

Treasury and Birthday Girl!

Happy weekend! Another busy week has sped by and a nice, sunny Saturday has arrived again. I managed to grab a treasury slot this morning and thought I'd go for a honeymoon theme seeing as I have been looking out for nice summer bits for ours. We haven't booked anything yet but hoping to go somewhere warm. Woo! So here's my holiday wishlist including some stripes (as always) and some splashes of my new favourite colour, yellow.

More importantly, it's my neice's 9th birthday today. Happy Birthday Niamh! She loves animals especially cats and foxes so here's her personalised Storeyshop cat card. I'm liking the animal theme even if it does make me think of the Whiskas cat food logo!

Valentine's Rush II

It isn't quite as crazy as this time last year but I am still slightly drowning in card orders! I'm not complaining because I'm loving all the sales and all the fab feedback from customers but I am really looking forward to taking a couple of days off when the day of love is upon us (I've worked every weekend so far this year!). Anyway, that explains my lack of blog posts recently and my slightly boring one this time. I will be back soon with more exciting news...oh, and some photos of my wedding invitations and how I made them!
